| Message: | According to the Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons - Volume 2, Chapter 4 (p404), Leon Johnson assumed command of VP-11 on 1941-Jul-22. All I can add at the moment is that he flew one of the squadron's new PBY-5s (2420 from San Diego to Kaneohe on 1941-Oct-27/28. | ||
