Message: Just sending in this news of my father, elbert richard bates, age 94, who was a member of VP11. He died 5 Mar 2016 from heart compications at Tucson Medical Center, Tucson, Ariz. He was interred at Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, AZ. His wife, Norine, had passed on Feb 1, 2012. They were married 70 years, and were parents of 4 children, who are still alive. He served as a radioman on PBYs.
